Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP) - Nelson

Counselling services and art / play therapy for children and youth who have experienced sexual abuse.

Families can request services directly, and referrals to the program also come from school personnel, daycare workers, social workers, advocates, mental health clinicians, victim's assistance workers, transition house workers, parent support and family support workers.

Based on the child's or youth's needs, they may participate in one-to-one counselling, group work, or meet with the counsellor and a parent together.

Art therapy, play and sand tray therapy are available as needed.

Services available in various settings as needed, including in school.
