Residential / Facility Based Substance Use Treatment Programs in BC
For those experiencing moderate to severe substance use issues and requiring a more intensive treatment setting than community based Substance Use Services, publicly funded Facility Based Services are available.
Facility Based Services include:
- Withdrawal Management services for Adults & Youth: provide medically supported services through acute stages of withdrawal from alcohol or other drugs in an inpatient setting. AXIS House in Castlegar provides Withdrawal Management treatment for Kootenay Boundary residents
- Treatment Services for Adults & Youth: provide a structured, live-in program where treatment goals are supported through assessment, evidence-based treatment and skill building.
In addition, Support Recovery Services provide a time-limited substance-free live-in setting. These safe, supportive environments are available for those experiencing low to moderate substance use.The Adult Supported Recovery Service in Nelson serves Kootenay Boundary residents
