Good Food Bank - Nelson

A no barrier food bank open on alternating Wednesday afternoons and offering nutritious food hampers available to area residents. A light meal is also offered while the food bank is open.

If regular hours do not work for an individual, call to make an appointment at another time.

Also offers:

• Good Food Drop Program, a bi-weekly program run on Tuesdays to provide nutrition boxes to individuals unable to access the Good Food Bank. Volunteer deliver boxes to individuals in Nelson, north to Balfour and west to the Slocan Junction. (see webiste for more details & application form).
• No-Cook Program which provides food and meals to indivduals with limited or no access to a kitchen or cooking supplies

The Nelson Community Food Centre offers other food related programs including "Cooking Series", "The Gardens",  "Workshops" and "Community Meals"

The Food Centre is a community partner with the Farmers Market Nutrition Program and can provide clients with coupons to purchase nutritious food at local farmers markets.
