StrongStart Early Learning Centre - Robson

The Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy's (CBAL) Castlegar Community Literacy Program collaborates with School District No. 20 - Kootenay-Columbia to offer the StrongStart BC Program at Robson Community School.

The StrongStart Centre offers a free, play-based early learning drop-in program for preschool-age (birth to 5 years) children attending with their parents or caregivers.

A qualified early childhood educator leads activities.

During the program parents and caregivers learn;

• Activities to do at home to help a child learn
• Ways to support a child's physical, social and emotional learning
• Ways to support a child's language and communication skills
• Tips for healthy snacks
• Information about other services and resources in the community.

The Centre is open 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.
