StrongStart Early Learning Centre - Fruitvale

Trail FAIR's Kootenay-Columbia Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) Program collaborates with School District No. 20 - Kootenay-Columbia in offering the StrongStart BC Program at Fruitvale Elementary School.

Centre is generally open as per the school calendar.

Offers a free, play-based early learning drop-in program for preschool-age (0 to 5 years) children attending with their parents or caregivers.

Licensed early childhood educators lead activities.

During the program parents and caregivers learn:

• Activities to do at home to help a child learn
• Ways to support a child's physical, social and emotional learning
• Ways to support a child's language and communication skills
• Tips for healthy snacks
• Information about other services and resources in the community.
