Salmo Learning Centre - The Hub

An alternative learning environment which offers grade 8 to 12 curriculum to students who have had trouble finding success in a mainstream environment.

A significant part of the program, over and above academics, involves 'active living and life skills training.'

Includes providing opportunities for students to explore life skills, work experience skills and a holistic approach to living healthy lives. This includes visits from medical and counselling professionals (Ankors and Freedom Quest), liasing with the local RCMP, and participating in a variety of skill building activities (drama theatre sports, Qi Gong meditation, Fitness Centre workouts, tobacco cessation, library visits, etc.).

Also partakes in several activity-based extra-curricular trips throughout the year including bowling, swimming, skiing/snowboarding and canoeing.
