Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH)

Responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services to patients throughout the Kootenay Boundary area.

Offers 24 hour, 7 days a week emergency and trauma services as well as core physician specialties, Level 2 laboratory, acute and obstetrical care, ambulatory care procedures, psychiatry, renal services and chemotherapy.

The Daly Pavilion Psychiatric Unit provides in-patient and out-patient services

The Social Services Department provides counselling, support, education, liasison and referral services for patients and families; helps organize travel and accomodation for patients having to travel outside the region for medical services; has expertise and information about support groups for various diseases and conditions. A renal social worker is part of this office.

The Poplar Ridge Pavilion a Residential Care Centre is located at this same address.

Sanctuary House, operated by the Generation to Generation Society offers two fully furnished suites for individuals or families traveling to Trail to access medical services provided at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital.
