Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH)

Responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services to patients throughout the Kootenay Boundary area.

Offers 24 hour, 7 days a week Emergency and trauma services as well as core physician specialties, Level 2 laboratory, acute and obstetrical care, ambulatory care procedures, psychiatry, renal services and chemotherapy.

The Daly Pavilion Psychiatric Unit provides in-patient and out-patient services

The Social Services Department provides counselling, support, education, liasison and referral services for patients and families; helps organize travel and accomodation for patients having to travel outside the region for medical services; has expertise and information about support groups for various diseases and conditions. A renal social worker is part of this office.
