BC Smoking Cessation Program
Helps people stop using tobacco by assisting them with the cost of quit-smoking aids.
Talk to a pharmacist or doctor to decide if quit-smoking medications are suitable.
The program offers two options:
- Non-prescription Nicotine Replacement Treatment (NRT): Visit a local pharmacist to discuss options. NRT is free and person doesn not have to be registered for Fair PharmaCare
- Smoking Cessation Prescription Drugs: See a doctor to discuss options.Subsidy available through Fair PharmaCare or other programs depending on income and situation.
Helpful 24/7 phone and online support / counselling is provides by the QuitNow program
