Youth Substance Use Counselling - Nakusp Area

Provides free, community-based, client-centered, low-barrier, confidential, voluntary, and non-judgmental service to youth between the ages of 12 - 19 (& their families) who have been negatively impacted by substance use and/or the substance use of others.

Supports young people in experiencing new opportunities, overcoming barriers, preventing further adversity, building positive relationships, and further developing the confidence and skills for life.

Youth  or family members are welcome to call or text to connect with the counsellor.  Referrals can also be made by phone or via the referral form on the website,

If needed, the Counsellor will help to connect youth to Freedom Quest regional programs including:

• Regional Concurrent Disorders Clinician 
• Regional Alcohol & Drug Day (RADD) Treatment Program
• Regional Therapeutic Recreation Programming
