Office has information about powers of attorney, committees, representation agreements, wills and estates and can assist in situations in which a person is unable to manage his or her own affairs.

Operates under provincial law to protect the legal rights and financial interests of children and vulnerable adults, and to administer the estates of deceased and / or missing persons where there is no one else to do so.

Role is to balance protection with autonomy, thereby ensuring that people may live in the way they choose, with the support of family and friends.
