Stopping the Violence (STV) Women's Counselling - Castlegar
Provides free and confidential counselling to women who have experienced violence or emotional, physical, sexual, psychological, social and economic abuse in adult relationships, sexual assault or childhood sexual abuse. .
Services include:
- One-on-one counselling and emotional support
- Information and referrals to other community resources
- A variety of counselling approaches are used with a women-centered, holistic perspective.
- Support offered to honour strengths, develop functional coping mechanisms, establish healthy boundaries, create personal space and empowerment and develop tools for self-care and healing
