Boundary Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS) - Grand Forks, Greenwood, Rock Creek

A free community program designed to support adults 65+ who may be experiencing isolation, low income, loneliness, or frailty.

The program, which includes a no-cost nutritious lunch, takes place weekly from 10am to 1pm as follows:

  • Grand Forks on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • Rock Creek on Wednesdays
  • Greenwood on Thursdays

Each session begins with a healthy snack and friendly conversation, followed by a look at “This Day in History” to spark memories and discussion. Activities vary based on the interests of each group, because this program belongs to the participants.

Activities include:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Games and group activities
  • Guest speakers such as the RCMP, Community Paramedic, local councilor, and funeral director
  • Skill-sharing from participants (for example, one member recently taught the group how to make borscht!).
