Home Health - Arrow & Slocan Lakes Area

The Interior Health Authority provides a range of health care and support services to those who have acute, chronic, palliative or rehabilitative health care needs to help them remain independent and in their own homes for as long as possible. Also assists those who can no longer remain in their homes to access care in a supportive facility.

Use toll-free single access line for information, for intake and to be connected to specific Interior Health Home and Community Care Health Services. See poster in "Brochure" (below) for more details.

In-Home and Community Services:  Will work with the person and the family to develop a care plan and make the necessary referrals. Some services are income tested. See Home / Community Care website for details about each service.

Services include:

  • Home Support Services
  • Home Care Nursing
  • Rehabilitation Therapist
  • Adult Day programs
  • Meal programs
  • Health Support for Community Living
  • Acquired Brain Injury Programs
  • Respite care
  • Palliative Care and End of Life Programs

Residential Facility Services:  Assists those who are eligible, and no longer able to remain in their homes, to access Assisted Living and Long Term Care:

Assisted Living:

  • Provides housing, hospitality services and personalized services for adults who can live independently but require assistance with daily activities.
  • Hospitality services consist of meals, housekeeping, laundry, social and recreational opportunities and a 24 hour response system.

Long Term Care:

  • Provides 24 hour professional nursing care and supervision in a protective, supportive environment for people who have complex care needs and can no longer be cared for in their own homes.
  • Includes meal service, medication supervision, assistance with daily activities and a planned program of social and recreational activities.
