ELEV8: Distance Education School of the Kootenays (DESK)
A public Online Learning school offering an opportunity for learning, to students residing anywhere within the province of British Columbia.
Follows the BC Ministry of Education curriculum, and teachers work closely with learner families to support and guide the learning that is happening at home.
Open to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
The Teacher plans and oversees the education program, while the parent provides the day to day support at home.
The Elementary program based at Hume Elementary, is a full time program with Kindergarten to Grade 4 being paper based and Grade 5-9 online
Secondary students in Grades 10 -12 may take online courses either full-time or part time. The program is based at LV Rogers Secondary
