Lower Columbia Affordable Housing Society (LCAHS)

A non-profit society providing affordable rental housing for low to moderate income households in the Lower Columbia region (includes Rossland, Warfield, Trail,  Montrose, Fruitvale, the Beaver Valley and Areas A & B).

Applicants for housing need to qualify based on income and asset limits, consistent with BC Housing guidelines.  Additional criteria may be applied when housing has been earmarked for a specific population (eg seniors, families, persons with disabilities, etc)

The Society currently manages a new 9 unit building in Trail, six additional housing units in Trail, and four units in Rossland.  In July 2021, construction was started on 37 units of affordable workforce housing in Rossland (Rossland Midtown) with support from the City of Rossland,  BC Housing and the Columbia Basin Trust.

LCAHS is also working with the Village of Fruitvale, in the design phase of developing 31 units of affordable rental housing for families, seniors and adults with disabilities.

See the website for a description and application information for all their current rental units.
