Regional Therapeutic Recreation Programming

A free program available to local schools and other youth-serving organizations who wish to offer therapeutic recreationall opportunities to young people between the ages of 12 and 19 and who are being negatively impacted by their own substance use and/or the substance use of others.

Programming aims to support youth in their efforts to

• experience healthy relationships
• participate in activities that may have been previously inaccessible to them
• enjoy physical activity to promote their overall wellness
• experience alternatives to substance use
• learn new skills

Takes place all over the West Kootenay Boundary Region and may include skiing, snowshoeing canoeing, hiking and biking.
