Residential Services for Community Living (SCL) - Nelson

Serves adults with developmental disabilities and complex health care needs by providing housing, employment services and person centered support  in three homes in Nelson.

Residents are referred to Services for Community Living (SCL) from Community Living BC (CLBC) 

Assists individuals with their goals and needs for community access, life skills enhancement, recreation, health, volunteering and employment.

Staff provides support with meals, mobility, and personal care.

Through personal service plans, residents are supported to be active and engaged in their communities and to pursue their interests and hobbies.

Nelson CARES also offers a wide range of other programs and projects meeting the needs of diverse, vulnerable Nelson residents including Custom Fit Inclusion and Employment Services.
