Better at Home Program - Lower Columbia (Trail Area)

Helps seniors (65+) with simple day-to-day tasks so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities.

Services include:

  • Light Housekeeping 
  • Grocery Delivery
  • Meal Preparation
  • Friendly Visiting
  • Minor Home Repairs
  • Light Yard Work
  • Snow shoveling (based on volunteer availability)

Services are provided by screened workers and volunteers.

Costs are on a sliding scale according to income with subsidies for eligible low income seniors.

Program serves seniors in Trail, Genelle, Rossland, Warfield, Rivervale, Montrose, Fruitvale and the Beaver Valley.

In addition,  the program coordinates various other free activities for seniors (55+) including the Silver City Seniors Club gatherings held every other Tuesday from 11am to 12:30pm at the Trail Legion.
