Mental Health Family Drop-in Support Group - Trail Area
Offer a safe and supportive space for family members and friends to share, ask questions, and connect with others who are supporting loved ones with mental health challenges.
Provides Information and resources of interest to group members such as naloxone training, information about side effects and efficacy of specific medications a workshop on the Registered Disability Savings Plan, presentations on "Hostile Interactions", "Changing How We Think about Mental Illness" and other relevant topics.
The coordinator also offers one-to-one support for family members unable to come to the group.

The Mental Health Family Support drop-in group is a program of the West Kootenay Boundary Mental Health and Substance Use Consumer, Family and Peer Support Program and is offered in collaboration with a staff person from the BC Schizophrenia Society which offers in person and online support for family and friends who have a loved one suffering from any chronic mental illness.
