Mental Health Family Support Group
Group offered in-person or through Zoom.
Offer a safe and supportive space for family members and friends to share, ask questions, and connect with others who are supporting loved ones with mental health challenges.
Provides Information and resources of interest to group members such as naloxone training, information about side effects and efficacy of specific medications a workshop on the Registered Disability Savings Plan, presentations on "Hostile Interactions", "Changing How We Think about Mental Illness" and other relevant topics.
The coordinator may offer some short-term one-to-one support for family members unable to come to the group.

The support group is a program of the West Kootenay Boundary Mental Health and Substance Use Consumer, Family and Peer Support Program which is administered by the Trail FAIR Society.
