Nakusp RCMP Victim / Witness Services - Arrow & Slocan Lakes to Winlaw

Police based victim services (PBVS) program providing crisis response for victims of crime and trauma, and/or their family members as well as non-crisis services to victims and witnesses, including:

Police and Court File Updates: Information about the status of a police and/or court file as it proceeds through the criminal justice system.

Court Support Services Courtroom personnel and their duties are explained and questions  answered relating to the courtroom and court procedures.Accompaniment provided for court appearances.

Referrals to agencies such as the police, criminal justice practitioners, counselors, social service agencies, self-help groups are given on request.

Practical Assistance offered for criminal injury compensation forms, victim impact statements, home security checks.

Serves Nakusp, Arrow Park, Fauquier, Edgewood, Burton and Trout Lake, as well as  Summit Lake. New Denver, Hills, Silverton, Slocan, Appledale and Winlaw.

Program is  co-sponsored by the Nakusp and Slocan Lake RCMP Detachments & Arrow and Slocan Lakes Community Services.
