Nelson Elder Abuse Prevention Program

The services once provided by the Nelson Elder Abuse Prevention Program (EAPP), through the Nelson and Area Seniors Coordinating Society, are now being offered by two other Nelson area Agencies.

The Advocacy Centre is assuming the role of providing information, support and referrals for individuals who suspect they are witnessing or personally experiencing neglect or abuse (financial, physical, psychological or sexual).

The Nelson Public Library , along with Seniors First BC, is taking responsibility  for the community education elements of the EAPP and will be offering workshops and events publicized on the Library's website.
