Better at Home Program - Castlegar

Helps seniors(aged 65 and older) with simple day-to-day tasks so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities.

Services include:

• Housekeeping
• Helping Hands

Services are provided by screened contractors and volunteers.

Sliding scale fee schedule eliminates financial barrier to obtaining services. The fees are based on income with very low income seniors receiving free services. Fees are collected by Castlegar Community Services Society so there is no financial exchange between seniors and volunteers/contractors.
