West Kootenay Volunteer Driver Program

Provides transportation for residents of all ages in the West Kootenay region to attend medical appointments as well as for seniors aged 60+ to social and recreational appointments 

Rides are provided by screened and insured volunteer drivers at a per km rate. (some exceptions or minimum charges may apply).  Rides are offered within communities as well as within the Kootenays and occasionally beyond the Kootenays. 

Users must be independent and able to load/unload any mobility device required.

Open to those residing in Nakusp, the Slocan Corridor, Castlegar, Trail, Nelson, Warfiled, Rossland, Fruitvale and Montrose.
