BC Rebate for Accessible Home Adaptations (BC RAHA)
A grant program that helps homeowners and landlords pay for home adaptations to extend the time low-income seniors and people with disabilities can live at home or in their rental accommodation independently.
Homeowners and landlords may qualify for assistance as long as the occupant of the dwelling where the adaptations will be made meets eligibility criteria.
Examples of home adaptations include:
- Handrails
- Ramps for ease of access, easy-to-reach work and storage areas in the kitchen
- Lever handles on doors
- Walk-in showers with grab bars
- Bathtub grab bars and seats
All adaptations should be permanent and fixed to the dwelling, with some exceptions.
Very limited funds available per year.
