Child and Youth Care (CYC) Program

Program serves children and youth who:

  • Have a developmental disability; or
  • Have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, or
  • Are eligible for the at Home Program (severe disabilities, complex health needs and/or palliative care)

Referrals are made through the Ministry of Children and Family Development Trail Office

The program uses everyday, common situations to pinpoint and teach relevant life and social skills in a supported environment, Supports individuals to increase self-esteem and confidence in the practice of these skills and recognizes and use each individual's personal strengths to determine how to teach targeted skills.

In general, the CYC Program meets three times a week during the school year on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Usually, activities on Tuesdays are geared towards life skills and activities on Thursdays are geared towards social skills.
