Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Consumer, Family and Peer Support - WKB Region

Works with individuals with mental health & substance use concerns and their families in order to support & assist them in understanding mental health and substance use services & to develop initiatives for change. 

Offers the Mental Health Family Support Group  (see attached poster).

Trains and supervises peer support volunteers in Trail, Castlegar, Nelson, Nakusp and Grand Forks.

Offers Mental Health First Aid training for front-line community workers.

Coordinator works in close collaboration with Mental Health and Substance Use Advisory Councils in  5 communities in the region: Grand Forks, Trail, Castlegar, Nelson & Nakusp.
