HealthLinkBC: 811

Provides medically approved health information and links to resources In BC by phone or through the website.

Callers will first  be connected to a health services navigator who can help find information and services or connect  the caller directly to a registered nurse, registered dietitian, qualified exercise professional or pharmacist for information and assistance as follows:

  • Registered nurses available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (BC Care card number required)
  • Pharmacists available from 5pm to 9am PST, 7 days a week (BC Care card number required)
  • Registered dietitians available from 9am to 5pm PST, Monday to Friday or email via website
  • Exercise professionals available from 9am to 5pm PST,  Monday to Friday or email via website

The 811 service, which offers translation services in more than 130 languages, will help people identify symptoms and provide advice re when to seek medical treatment.

All calls are confidential.
