HealthLinkBC: 811

Provides medically approved health information and links to resources In BC by phone or through the website.

Callers are directed to on-duty nurses, dieticians or pharmacists for information and assistance as follows:

  • Registered nurses are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (BC Care card number required)
  • Pharmacists are available from 5pm to 9am, 7 days a week (BC Care card number required)
  • Dieticians are available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

The 811 service, which offers translation services in more than 130 languages, will help people identify symptoms and provide advice on when to seek medical treatment.

All calls are confidential.
