Boundary Foster Care Services

Foster families provide homes for children whose own families are going through difficulties and cannot look after them.

Anyone can apply to become a foster parent as long as they submit to a criminal record check, pass a medical exam and provide 3 references.

A thorough home study is then conducted by Ministry staff and all family members are interviewed, including any children.

Once a family is approved to provide foster care, the Ministry and family enter into an agreement outlining the terms and conditions of the care to be provided.
