Child Car Seat Safety Program - Greater Trail Area

Free, factual, user-friendly information for parents, caregivers, and professionals on the proper selection and use of infant and child car seats by volunteer certified educator.

Most services (i.e., Individual parental consultations) are free of charge. Others by honorarium and/or mileage reimbursement.

All services by pre-arranged appointments only. Evening and weekend calls and appointments welcome.

Program includes:

• Telephone and in-person consultations (call for appointment)
• Community car seat clinics: Presentations to parent groups (Prenatal classes, Mom & Me groups, etc.)
• Training of professionals involved with children and families (RCMP, Public Health, etc.)
•  Quick-check' inspection of second-hand car seats at consignment shops
