Affordable Child Care Benefit
A monthly payment from the BC government that helps eligible BC families to meet the costs of child care.
Can be used to help pay for the following types of care:
- Licensed or license-not-required family child care facilities;
- Licensed group child care centres, out-of-school programs, preschool programs;
- The child's own home.
A calculation that takes into account income and family size determines eligibility for either a full or partial benefit.
Parents must provide at least one qualifying reason for requiring child care. See the website for a list of qualifying reasons.
Forms and detailed information on the website.
Local Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) Centres or Service BC Offices can also provide information and application support.
