Healing Our Spirits: Aboriginal Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Program - West Kootenay Boundary

Offers support and services to persons of Aboriginal ancestry, ages 15 to Elder, with substance use and/or mental health concerns. 

In addition to traditional talking circles, the program provides individual support, counselling, case management for mental health and substance use.

The program also provides support with treatment and detox including:

  • Wellbriety recovery meetings (Indigenous 12 step) 
  • Connection to Indigenous resources, service providers, Elders and community gatherings
  • Support for treatment preparation and return to community
