CBAL Settlement Services - Nelson Area and Kaslo

For those living in the Nelson area who are permanent residents,  live-in caregivers,  refugees and refugee claimants, temporary foreign workers,  provincial nominees,  naturalized Canadian citizens and international students.

Free services include: English language traininglearning about the community, housing, banking / shopping,  transportation, citizenship,  referrals / access to services

Settlement services aim to provide newcomers with the information they need about Canada and their community.   These may include one to one drop-in support,  group workshops, English classes and conversation groups, a mentorship program, community connections and activities aimed at connecting families with Canadian citizens, employers, community organizations and public institutions. 

Publishes the Here and Now newsletter that includes stories about newcomers, information on services and other topics
