Homelessness Prevention Program (HPP) - Nelson
Focuses on preventing homelessness in four priority groups which have been identified as particularly vulnerable to homelessness:
- Women (and their children) who have experienced relationship violence or are at-risk
- Youth, including those leaving the formal care system
- Adults leaving institutional care (e.g. hospital, corrections, treatment centre)
- People of Aboriginal descent
Provides wrap-around services that specifically prevent homelessness by offering such supports as rental supplements, life skills support, case planning & integrated case management, and landlord relationship building.
