Under the Employment Equity Act, the Commission is responsible for ensuring that federally regulated employers provide equal opportunity for employment to the four designated groups:

  • Persons with disabilities
  • Members of visible minorities.

Mandated to develop and conduct information and discrimination prevention programs.
