Castlegar RCMP Victim Services

Police Based Victim Services (PBVS) program that offers assistance to people who have been affected by crime or trauma including

Emotional Support: in person and over the phone to victims, witnesses and their family members.

Information and Practical Assistance:  provides information on the status of a police investigation, the justice system, and crime prevention. Also assists with filling out Crime Victim Assistance Forms and Victim Impact Statements.

Court Support: provides information on the role of the various players in the justice system, the practicalities of testifying as a witness, and updates on court appearance.

Referrals to community resources when appropriate.

Serves the Castlegar Area including Robson, Thrums and Pass Creek.

Program is administered by Castlegar & District Community Services and funded through the BC Ministry of Justice.
